How to Take Part

We’re conducting a growing number of research studies across the island of Ireland. Please check back regularly as we will continue to add additional locations as new sites and new studies roll out.

We have two types of studies:

Specific Medical Conditions

A number of GMI studies are researching specific medical conditions (details listed below by condition). For these studies, eligible participants are enrolled in the research directly through their clinicians at the hospital site where they are treated.

Currently, our studies are examining Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Spondyloarthropathies, AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis) and nr-AxSPA (non-radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis), and Rare Disorders but we plan to roll out additional studies in Alzheimer’s Disease, Asthma and COPD, Diabetes, Liver Disease, Colorectal Cancer, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

General Participants

We are conducting a study for general participants examining the genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors of fitness and health which is held at the GenoFit Research Clinic on the University College Dublin campus. If you would like to learn more about this study or use our online booking system to book your appointment to participate, you can find details at www.genofit.ie.
