An interview with Software Developer, Rafal Janicki, by Eimear Doyle.

I’m just about computer literate…so programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing — what does this all mean in the day-to-day role of a software developer?

It usually starts with a short meeting with my team leader where we discuss what we’ve done in the previous day or week. We then make a quick planning of what should be done in the current week. ASHG 2016The annual meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics was held October 18-22 in Vancouver, Canada. GMI’s Sean Ennis co-presented a workshop with WuXi NextCODE’s Jeff Gulcher, MD, Ph.D. and Mark Caulfield, FMedSci of Genomics England, entitled “Insights from the World’s Leading Precision Medicine Initiatives”. The programme outlined how leading precision medicine initiatives are solving the unprecedented challenge of storing and efficiently mining population-scale sequence data.
