Ankylosing Spondylitis & nrAxSpa

GMI is conducting a landmark study into two chronic rheumatic conditions, Ankylosing Spondylitis & Non-Radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis. There as many as 20,000 people in Ireland living with one of these chronic inflammatory conditions. Our research hopes to identify linkages that can help diagnose AS and nrAxSpa early on, predict their severity, and suggest personalised treatments – or even a cure.

If you are living with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) or Non-Radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis (nrAxSpA), you can register your interest and GMI will notify your consultant. Our current studies in AS and nrAxSpA are running at the following locations and new sites are rolling out regularly:

GMI are collaborating with clinicians and patients to conduct a large-scale research study in hospitals, clinics, and GP surgeries across the island of Ireland examining Ankylosing Spondylitis and nr-AxSpA. Our aim is to gain valuable insights from this national study in order to achieve better and faster diagnoses and treatments for people with AS or nr-AxSpa. Ultimately, we hope this research study will result in new therapies, or potentially even a cure, for AS and nr-AxSpA.

Thank you for considering participation in GMI’s research. If you choose to fill out the form below, you are agreeing to allow GMI to collect information in order to:
